Articles | Easter Chocolate Bark
This is a great gift for teachers at the end of term and a way to get the kids involved and entertained in the kitchen. If you want to limit the amount of chocolate entering your home at this time of year then replace the chocolate base with a mix of Greek yogurt mixed with a drizzle of honey which you then spread on a baking sheet and top with your choice of fruit, dried fruit, seeds and nuts before freezing ...but this won't travel as presents!!
Ingredients:
- 6 bars of chocolate, 2 dark, 2 milk and 2 white
- Mini pretzels or pretzel sticks
- Mini eggs cut into pieces
- Sprinkles and glitter of choice
Method
Pre-heat your oven to a low temperature of 50ºC. Place your bars side by side on greaseproof paper on a baking tray and place in the oven to just melt. Take it out and allow the tray to cool a little before topping randomly with the pretzels, eggs and then sprinkle generously. Place the tray in the fridge to set. Once cool, cut or break into pieces trying to ensure everyone gets a bit of everything and bag up.
Store in the fridge.
